How hard is it, really, to look for a downed aircraft? What are Civil Air Patrol aircrews, and other search crews, looking for? Last weekend, all they had to look for was a little discoloration in the trees while flying over 39 miles of the heavily wooded Appalachian Mountains. This is not an easy feat! Check out the photos below taken 19 July while a CAP ground team was making its way to the crash site.
